Test types of forgings are divided into five groups depending on the purpose and operating conditions of the parts manufactured therefrom, as set forth in Table 2.

Note:

1. Hardness values for forgings of the groups IV and V are not rejection criteria.

2. For forgings of the group VII it is allowed to carry out mechanical tests in forgings not with lower and upper hardness limits, but with normal values of hardness within specified strength categories. In this case hardness is an additional acceptance characteristic.

3. The customer has the right to set other combinations of acceptance characteristics for the forgings of groups IV and V instead of the ones specified in Table 1.

4. It is allowed to carry out hardness measurements of the group V forgings on the samples for mechanical tests.

We can also offer forgings with preliminary mechanical treatment. Time of manufacture is 20-30 business days (depending on the scope and complexity of the order).
